Dr. Azin Taheri is a clinical child psychologist dedicated to promoting children's mental health and overall well-being. She integrates evidence-based techniques with a warm, playful approach to meet the unique needs of each child and family. Dr. Taheri believes in the inherent strengths of every child and focuses on empowering them to build confidence and resilience in navigating life’s challenges. By fostering a collaborative and supportive environment, she ensures that both children and families feel heard, valued, and actively involved in their journey toward growth.
With over 15 years of clinical and research experience, Dr. Taheri has worked extensively with children and youth, particularly those with autism. Her contributions to autism research have earned her multiple awards, and she has presented her findings at international conferences. She has also received comprehensive clinical training in supporting children with intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, anxiety, and emotion regulation challenges through her work at the Toronto District School Board, Surrey Place, and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
Currently, Dr. Taheri is a staff psychologist at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, where she continues her clinical work with autistic children and youth, as well as those with other developmental needs. She also offers consultation and supervision services for neurodivergent children across various private practices.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Taheri enjoys spending time with her family and friends, beading jewelry, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
